Ministry Outside the Four Walls

When we think of the church most of us associate it within the walls of a building. Naturally, this is where our minds go. However, when we look at Scripture, we see it’s so much more than that. We see how important it is that we extend outside the walls just as a “meeting place”. When Jesus was here on earth, He and His disciples were a great example of reaching the lost. They were not confined to a building or temple. CEF® is on a mission to reach the unsaved child.

Personally, I know so many unsaved children just in my town alone. It’s heartbreaking to know that these children are being raised in secular homes with no God present. As if this world is not challenging enough with God, think of doing it with no Savior is tragic. What can we as the body of Christ do to reach these children? How can we offer them a way to receive salvation and then grow spiritually mature?

CEF offers a great way to share the Gospel to the unsaved child and disciple the saved child. I deeply feel many Christians do not understand how urgent and late the hour is. When we look at our world and the current posture of society, it’s obvious we cannot wait for someone else to do it. As a mom of four children, I have seen how challenging it is to be a child in this day in age. Children need hope and to know they are loved unconditionally.

I think if 2020 taught us anything it’s that we have to go outside the walls of our church buildings. There is a hurting world, and our children are caught in the crossfire of so much evil. I pray that if you are not currently supporting or volunteering with us you will pray and consider it.

When we look around, we know that “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Luke 10:2

We need disciples to walk with us and reach the lost. Will you join us?
