Teens Speak on CYIA

So, you are looking for a summer job? Want to do more than just more with your time and make an impact for the Kingdom? You have come to the right place.

Through an amazing ministry called Christian Youth in Action™ (CYIA™) you can do just that! CYIA equips Christians teenagers and college students through an intense training program to share the Gospel with the children in their own neighborhoods! CYIA training is held in Lucas Iowa with teenagers from across Iowa. Upon completion, students return home to teach 5-Day Clubs® in their own neighborhoods.

Throughout CYIA, you will be challenged through devotions, chapel time, praise and worship, and the classes to live out your faith and grow in your relationship with Christ. You will learn how to effectively share the Gospel through the Wordless Book, how to counsel a child to salvation, and how to organize a 5-Day Club with games, songs, memory verses, Bible lesson and missionary story.

You will be able to see hundreds of children reached with the Gospel! In our local chapter, we were able to reach over 630 last summer; with over 30 of those children prayed for salvation. You will receive on-going coaching and mentoring with a letter of recommendation. There is flexible scheduling to work around summer jobs, vacations, sports, etc.

Hear what other local teens have said about CYIA:

“CYIA was an exciting experience! It’s helped me to get closer to the Lord and gave me the chance to meet people from all over Iowa. They have become great friends! CYIA taught me many new things like, with God’s help, anything can be accomplished.”- Jacob S. Ottumwa, Iowa

“At first I thought CYIA would be a very closed off/subtle ministry. It was the exact opposite. I was not expecting it to be every fun, exciting and purposeful. I liked that everybody got really close together and we were all there for the same purpose: to serve God by teaching children about how Jesus died for them. CYIA has changed how social I am by pushing me out of my comfort zone. Teaching clubs helps you realize how important it is that all the kids get the message that Jesus loves them. A lot of kids need to know that somebody loves them and do not have someone to tell them that in their life.”- Hannah B. Albia, Iowa.

“CYIA has shaped me to trust God more and be more trusting with other people who love the Lord as well!”- Alexis L. Pella, Iowa

“At CYIA, I made a lot of friends there and learned many new things. At first, I did not really want to go, because I had already planned out my summer with other stuff. But after a day or so, I was so glad I came. It sort of felt like school, but it was also fun because of all the free time. We had fun group activities to do too. Everyone was very nice!”-Aidan R. Oskaloosa, Iowa.
